North Ember Productions is a small independently run theatrical company that is dedicated to adding art into the world when it is needed.  Embers are just as hot, and contain just as much potential, as a fire.  They lie in wait until the time is right.  With just a little bit of encouragement, an ember has the potential of creating a magnificent blaze.  That is our mission.  North Ember Productions is not designed to compete with the big theatres.  We do not have the money or the space, nor the desire to do so.  There are already many outstanding theatre companies doing a wonderful job creating art!  North Ember’s mission is to produce art in the lulls of other theatre’s seasons.  We choose to find the overlooked projects, the unused spaces, and create something beautiful in those voids.  Over the years, North Ember has produced several small productions on rented stages in the Memphis area in order to give money back to the surrounding community theatres and allow actors a chance to work during their off-season time.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, when theatres had to shut their doors, and actors were out of work entirely, North Ember branched out into the world of audio theatre in order to keep that fire stoked until businesses could go back to normal on the larger scale.  We are dedicated to bringing art to community in whatever ways we can so that the fire never goes out.
